COVID-19

 

At Rubicon Psychology, you can feel confident and comfortable in knowing we practice effective hygiene and social distancing to ensure a Covid safe environment. We provide a hand hygiene station on arrival and also clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces and objects for your safety. 

If you feel unwell prior to, or, on the day of your scheduled appointment, we ask that you call the office to reschedule your appointment. If you would prefer, we offer Telehealth appointments, either a telephone consultation or video conferencing. 

Video session:

For new clients, information regarding your video session and confirmation of your first appointment will be sent to you via email at the time of booking. You will receive your Telehealth video login details the day before your appointment.

 

Telephone session:

For new clients, information regarding your phone session and confirmation of your first appointment will be sent to you via email at the time of booking. You will also receive a text message reminder the day before your appointment. Dr. Bilsborrow will call you at the time of your appointment.

 

Appointments:

Appointments last 50 minutes. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please call or email to reschedule or cancel at least 24 hours prior.  Appointments are in high demand and your early cancellation will give another person the possibility to have access to an appointment.

 

Information you will need to provide prior to your first appointment:

Ø Your Medicare Card details

Ø Email address 

Fees: 

Ø If you have been referred by your GP and you have a current Mental Health Plan you will be bulk billed under the special Covid-19 telehealth arrangements. 

Ø If self-referred with NO current mental health care plan from your GP the fee is $195/session. If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be eligible for a rebate. Payment is required for your consultation on the day, and can be paid over the phone. We do not accept cheques. Please note that a $15 late payment charge will be applied if the fee is not paid on the day.

Ø Work cover / MAIB / DVA sessions are billed directly to the relevant service upon presentation of your referral letter from your GP authorising therapy sessions. Otherwise full fee applies at time of appointment.

Ø A charge of $70 applies if you fail to attend or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment.

 

IMPORTANT: Have you seen another Psychologist?

You are eligible for up to 10 (ten) sessions in a calendar year.  If you have had 10 (ten) sessions in this calendar year (from 1st January), you will NOT be eligible for further Medicare rebates or bulk billing consultations and full fees apply.
